Shanghai recently became the latest city in the country to unveil local regulations on square dancing, a popular form of mass fitness among the middle-aged and the elderly that has sparked controversy because of complaints from nonparticipants about disturbances.
The group of individuals participating in square dancing should adhere to public rules and social customs and never disturb others around them, according to the Shanghai Municipal Regulation on the Protection and Promotion of Public Cultural Services, which was approved on October 27.
上海成为我国新近针对广场舞出台地方条例的城市。广场舞深受中老年人喜爱，是一种群众性健身活动，但局外人却抱怨饱受(广场舞)打扰，从而引发争议。
根据10月27日通过的《上海市公共文化服务保障与促进条例》，跳广场舞的群体应当遵守相关规定和公序良俗，不得影响周围他人。
