　　【公开信】：大学校报上刊登了来自一个学生的公开信。建议学校应该sponsor a wilderness club，由学校fund租bus组织学生去郊游。好处1、学校提供transport，方便学生外出郊游。好处2、去野外看看natural scenery，能让人fresh。郊游回来之后，解决schoolwork很efficient。2 u

　　课文要点】：brood parasites(孵育寄生动物)：animals that use a unconventional tactic to let other animals hatch their offspring for them。

　　【教授举例】：教授以cat fish 如何利用cichlid孵卵为例讲解此定义。female cichlid产卵ggs后，会把它的卵eggs gather，hide在mouth里protect，until they are ready to hatch。female cat fish：sneaker the female cichlid，等cichlid张嘴的时候，cat fish will quickly release their eggs into the water。female cichlidcan not tell differences between自己的卵和cat fish的卵。然后就把catfish的eggs gather到自己mouth里hatch了。Catfish就是这样cat fish take advantages of cichlid to hatch eggs for them. 　　【学生困难】：男生邀请了一个著名的哲学教授下星期在学校的一个big hall give a philosophy lecture。但他担心对哲学感兴趣的学生少、来听讲座的人少，礼堂坐不满empty。9

　　【解决方案】：女生建议：1、to spread mass e-mails to all students，let them know the topic。告诉大家这个讲座的内容是interesting、is relate to their present daily life的。但男生担心这样做也不能保证有人来听。2、to change the format and the topic：move to a smaller room, and make it a small group discussion for philosophy majors，教授可以和philosophy majors近距离进行discussion。男生担心topic just one week，换topic可能来不及了。描述男生的困难，女生的两个建议，你的建议，为什么。[2006.10.15/2008.1.12北美/2009.3.22]

　　【讲课要点】：教授讲the best body temperature is 36-37 degrees Celsius。People use two types of thermoregulations(体温调节法)to maintain normal body temperature：方法1：physiological regulation，比如：winter→feeling cold→muscle tissue shake→produce heat→heat the body→maintain body temperature。方法2：behavial regualtion，举例：summer→when you stand under the sunshine and feel hot→you will walk to shade/shadow of trees or put off some of your clothes to get cooled off.
