　　竹筒饭是傣族、哈尼族、拉祜族、布朗族、基诺族、景颇族等众多民族经常做的一种风味饭食，有普通竹筒饭和香竹糯米饭两种。傣族人民利用竹子幼秆烧制的竹筒饭，不但香味可口，还有着极高的营养价值。竹筒饭颇有野炊特点，砍下一节竹筒 ，装进适量糯米和水，放在火堆中烤熟，当竹筒表层烧焦时，饭就熟了。

　　Bamboo rice is a kind of food commonly seen in many ethnic groups such as Dai, Hani, Lagu, Bulang, Jino and Jingpo and has two kinds—common bamboo rice and spiced glutinous rice. Bamboo rice made by the Dai people uses soft bamboo branches that are scorched by burning, which not only provides good taste but is also highly nutritious. It has the feature of cooking in the open air: cut a section of bamboo and put a moderate amount of glutinous rice and water into it, toast the bamboo; and when the surface of the bamboo is scorched, the food is ready.
