　　藏袍是藏族人民的平常衣着，也是区别于其他民族最显著的特征。藏族服装的基本特点是肥大、长袖、宽腰、右襟，是一种无需量体裁衣的直线服装。袖长等身，袍长过体，无需钮扣。藏袍有农、牧区之别，一般来说，农区藏袍讲究美观漂亮，牧区藏袍讲求实用温暖。

　　As common Tibetan attire, the Tibetan robe is a distinctive marking that sets Tibetans apart from those of other ethnic backgrounds. The Tibetan robe is loose-fitting with long sleeves and a wider-than-usual waist. Its front opens from the right side. This untailored attire resembles the shape of the letter H. With sleeves as long as one’s body, it reaches to the ankle and has no buttons. The robes of farmers and herdsmen differ. Generally, the former favors aesthetics while the latter stresses function, namely warmth.
