　　The compiler of The Chronicle of Tang Poetry is Ji Yougong, from the Southern Song dynasty. The book is a collection of poems of the Tang Dynasty. It is made up of 81 volumes and includes more than 1150 poets of the Tang Dynasty. The content is extremely rich and profound. Many works from the Tang Dynasty were gradually lost leading up to and during the Song dynasty. The objective of Ji's collection was to preserve the poetry and literature of the Tang dynasty.
