Breakdancing became an official Olympic sport on Monday.

The International Olympic Committee's pursuit of urban events to lure a younger audience saw street dance battles officially added to the medal events program at the 2024 Paris Games.
国际奥委会希望通过增加城市化的赛事以吸引年轻观众，因此2024年巴黎奥运会正式将霹雳舞纳入竞赛项目。
Also confirmed for Paris by the IOC executive board were skateboarding, sport climbing, and surfing.
此外，国际奥委会执行委员会确认，巴黎奥运会还将增设滑板、攀岩和冲浪这三个大项。
Those three sports will make their Olympic debuts at the Tokyo Games, which were postponed because of the coronavirus pandemic by one year to open on July 23, 2021.
这三个项目将在东京奥运会上首次亮相，因新冠疫情而被推迟一年举行的东京奥运会将于2021年7月23日开幕。
Alongside the additions, the IOC made subtractions: The slate of 329 medal events in Paris is 10 fewer than in Tokyo, including four lost from weightlifting, and the athlete quota in 2024 of 10,500 is about 600 less than next year.
增加项目的同时，国际奥委会也在做减法：巴黎奥运会的比赛项目被减至329个，比东京奥运会少了10个，举重项目一共有4个小项被移出奥运会。巴黎奥运会的运动员人数上限为10500人，与东京奥运会相比，减少了约600人。
