　　男生说想问教授关于他的essay，而教授有一个meeting要参加（出题：问教授为什么不想给这个学生时间），并不是office hours,教授指出男生的问题是citation problem, there're two major citation, Chicago and MLA，Chicago Citation normally put the footnotes at the end of the page, while MLA citation put the footnotes in the end of each sentence。教授说it's fine to choose either one of them, but you need to use them consistently。also, the professor pointed out some other problems about his essay, The sentences are too long which kind of confusing, The professor suggested the man to go the the writing center where he can get some guidance by the tutor（有题：为什么要给他推荐writing center，我选的是带tutor的那个，好像是C）. The professor will be glad if the man came up with another draft of his essay. The due date of the essay is three weeks later, so he has plenty of times to revise it.

　　听力2　环保与economic双赢

　　有一个海域，基本上以fishing 为生，有一种xxfish，很多很多fish游到这个海域breed，另外还吸引来了shark去吃这类鱼的egg, 学生提问说这种shark是whale还是shark?老师说这不是mammal,而是一种最大体积的shark。这种罕见的shark attract lots of tourists to view（这个是某题的答案）。当地人以fishing 为生，卖这种鱼gain lots of profits. 但是这就产生了问题。如果一味的捕捞，那么这种鱼最后就可能越来越少，egg少了，就没有shark了，后来这个地方开始限制捕鱼，特别是在fish breeding 的海域。渔民转行做了导游，比如,diving, showing around，也引入了eco-tourism，渔民们也因此获利了不少。这就是环保与economic双赢的例子。

　　听力3　鸟类迁徙

　　professor talks about the development of tracking method of bird migration.

　　以前科学家给鸟一个metal bands，去track 鸟的route.但是这样做产生了很多问题。比如科学家只能知道鸟类到了哪个地方，但是不知道他们在飞行中间是怎么perform的。（我上面有没有说？有题问为啥要绑那么多metal bands）

　　后来科学家又发明了radio signal 的方法，放在鸟身上，但是这样做，科学家必须待在车里一直tracking，如果鸟类从水上飞过，那么将给科学家带来难题（这里有题目，好像是radio有啥缺陷）。

　　最后，科学家有了satellite，这个方法很convenient,并且发现，有一种鸟，在飞行途中，受wind 和 temperature 的影响。还有一个特别的现象是，有一次，他们到达了一个地方略早，如果晚到几天的话他们可能就赶上了坏天气。现在还不知道鸟类是怎么探知这一天气预测的，但是这决不是一个coincidence.

　　听力4　art history 中华考试网(www．Examw。com)

　　professor让大家去看一个展览，特别要让大家注意的是一个刚刚挖出来的art。这个art有一个特殊工艺，就是用将金改造并挝上去的技术（词比较生僻，记不住原词了，有图片）并且这个学生可以在展览里自习观察这个画面，非常清楚。重听题：教授为什么要强调这货有2600年（学生说的是1000几百年来着，选项记不得了）。还有题目问：这货为啥出名还是珍贵？好像是选择因为它的图像还很清楚（选项还有上面greek的文字很清楚，这个选项肯定是错的。具体是不是选我说的那个我就不敢确定了，你们仔细听一下）。

　　听力5　关于美洲一个地区的economy

　　这个地方生产petal，在亚洲非常好卖。当地人Ts－seller－将这种petal 卖给European的shipper。一开始european shipper赚了很多钱。但是后来他们开始亏本了。

　　因为，这种petal市场是seller's market 原来seller‘s market 是这题啊，我上面那个lecture弄错了，不好意思啊！反正有题没记错，如上，which means that the price of this product was determined by the sellers。由于european shipper给TS的东西，比如medal后者是jewelry，Ts已经不感兴趣了，所以他们不愿意再将花时间和经历将这种东西找到并卖给european shipper. 他们开始大幅提高价钱。因为他们知道european shipper要去提前将船安排好，所以他们会出高价来尽快达成协议（有题问他们为啥要那么急）
