VEHICLES CROSSING THE HUDSON BRIDGE

　　The chart shows the traffic situation on the Hudson Bridge from Monday to Sunday during a week. Specifically, it shows the numbeers of passenger cars and trucks crossing the bridge each day of the week.<

　　The number of vehicles crossing the bridge varies from day to day, but with some discernable regularity. On Sunday, Monday, and Friday, the numbers of passenger cars are the same--2000 for each; while Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday share the same number---1500 passenger cars. The situation with trucks is diffferent. There are only 500 ttrucks crossing the bridge on Sunday and Saturday and 1000 trucks on Wednesday and Friday, but the number increased to 1500 on Monday and Thursday and 2000 on Tuesday.

　　The differences and similarities between the numbers of vehicles crossing the bridge on the seven days of a week seem to be related to the activities on weekdays and weekends. There are only 500 trucks on Sunday and Saturday because of the reduced commercial and productive ativities on weekends. But because of weekends, the number of passenger cars increases. Many people leave on Friday for weekends and come back for work on Mondays. It also can be seen that during weekends, people have more activities on Sundays than on Saturdays. The general situation indicated by the chart is that the traffic on the bridge is heavier on wekdays and the heaviest on Monday and Tuesdays.
