　　摇号买车的方法是先报名预约排队，再统一参加摇号。电脑随机出10个号码，摇号者从中挑选一个号码。这一政策是鉴于北京堵车严重的情况而提出的，北京市政府决定于2011年开始采用摇号的方式限制购车。2011年1月26日，备受瞩目的北京首轮机动车购车摇号正式举行，共有18万多名个人争夺17600个新增车辆指标。 天津市2014年1月1日起同样实施了摇号和拍卖购车政策 。

　　Participants in the car-buying lottery sign up to make an appointment and after waiting their turn in line, will choose one number from a computer displaying 10 random numbers. The lottery was introduced by the Beijing municipal government to mitigate the ever-increasing traffic jams in Beijing. On January 26, 2011 the highly watched first round of the car buying lottery was held with 180,000 people competing for the quota of 17,600 new cars. Tianjin also started implementing a lottery and car purchasing policies since January 1, 2014.
