　　Lin Yifu (Justin Lin), originally named Lin Zhengyi, ethnic Han, was born in October in 1952 and is a native of Yilan, Taiwan. He serves as the honorary president and professor of the National Development Academy of Peking University. On February 4, 2008, Lin began to serve as the chief economist of the World Bank, to drive the transformation of the relationship between the World Bank and China. Lin Yifu is the first Chinese to win a higher professional title in the World Bank or the International Monetary Fund. His subjects for study include developmental economics, agricultural economics and institutional economics.
