　　仰韶文化，其年代约为公元前5000年-前3000年，属于新石器时代的文化。其分布在以黄河支流汇集的中原地区及周边范围。仰韶文化是一个以农业为主的文化，其特征是，生产工具以发达的磨制石器为主，骨器也相当精致;红陶器上常有彩绘的几何形图案或动物形花纹，是仰韶文化的最明显特征，故也称彩陶文化。

　　The Yangshao culture (5000 BC – 3000 BC) falls within the time frame of the New Stone Age. The culture is distributed throughout the central regions and peripheral areas where the tributaries of the Yellor River converge. The Yangshao culture is mainly an agricultural one that features production tools with advanced polishing techniques that produce exquisite stone ware. The colors, geometric and animal-shaped patterns are the most striking characteristics of the Yangshao culture. That is why the Yangshao culture is often called the Color Pottery culture.
