　　“六月六”是汉族和一些其他少数民族的传统佳节，由于居住地区不同，过节的日期、节日内容也不统一;汉族和一些布依族、侗族、瑶族、壮族等地区在农历六月初六过节。这天的民俗活动有“洗晒节”“晒秋节”“伏羊节”“晒经节”“天贶节”“禾苗节”“洗象日”等。因这时天气已非常闷热，又正值雨季，湿度大，极易霉腐损坏。所以在全国各地，从城镇到农家小院都有很多类似洗浴和晒物的习俗节日。

　　The Double Six Festival is a traditional festival celebrated by Han and some of the ethnic minorities in China. Though dates and customs differ across locations, Han and some districts of Buyi, Dong, and Zhuang minorities typically celebrate it on June 6th. On that day, customs include “Washing and Drying”, “Basking in the Harvest”, “Eating Lamb on Hot Days”, “Drying Classics”, “Day of Plenty”, “Grain Seeding”, “Washing the Elephant Day”, etc. As things easily mold and rot in the stiflingly summer and humidity of the rainy season, various festivals include bathing and drying from urban to rural areas nationwide.
