会计们关于兴奋的概念就是削尖一根2号铅笔……
注：会计职业很枯燥，削铅笔是最让他们兴奋的事情了。

Boss: could anything get me out of the mess I am in now?
Accountant: Death would help.
老板：有什么办法能帮我从现在的乱麻中摆脱出来吗？
会计想了很长时间说：死会帮助你。
注：会计的意思是“你的麻烦大了，只有一死了之。

Why do accountants make good lovers? They're great with figures.
为什么会计是好情人？他们身材棒（他们精通数字）。
注：Figure:身材；数字。
 
Accumulate
University is full of knowledge; the freshmen bring a little in and the seniors take none away, and knowledge accumulates.
大学里到处是知识，新生带进来点儿，毕业生什么也不带走，知识就积累了下来。
注：这是一种貌似合乎逻辑的推理思维。

Accuracy
I do not mind lying, but I hate inaccuracy.
我不介意说谎，但我恨不精确。
注：自相矛盾，“说谎”是扭曲事实，比“不精确”要严重。但有时候夸张的说谎就是为了让人一眼识破，纯粹为了好玩儿，而“不精确”却可能会让人相信一些错误的数字。

Accurate
要准确详尽地叙述那段历史根本用不着我这杆妙笔生花的笔。
To give an accurate and exhaustive account of that period would need a far less brilliant pen than mine.

我们的错误信息是多么精确。
注：美国炸中国驻前南斯拉夫大使馆借口是“信息错误”，这是多么精确的错误信息。

The only thing more accurate than incoming enemy fire is incoming friendly fire.
唯一比敌方炮火还准确的是友军的炮火。
注：人们总结了几条《海湾战争定律》，这是其中一条。没被伊拉克炮火打中，却经常被友军炮火击中。
