The bluish white porcelain was glittering and had there reputation of artificial jade, so it became famous home and abroad and was exported to Europe in large amount. At that time, Europeans were not able to make porcelain,so porcelain from China，especially from Changnan，was warmly welcomed. In Europe，porcelain from Changnan was luxurious article cherished by everyone, and obtaining even one piece of it would make people feel very proud. In this way，Europeans used Changnan as the code name for china(porcelain) and the place of its production，China. Gradually, Europeans forgot the original meaning of Changnan，only remembering it is “china”，namely“China”.

　　Ruyao Tianqing Streak-less Oval Narcissus Basin

　　Ruyao tianqing is a type of streakless, oval basin. It is among the few guanyao porcelain ware that’s still around today. Coming from the period of Emperor Huizong of Song, this basin takes an oval shape, has an extravagant mouth, deep wall, flat bottom, and narrow edge. It has four cloud-shaped legs, a thick surrounding wall, slight bottom legs, light green at the bottom, and light pink at the thin part of the mouth edge. The sky celadon is rare. There are less than 70 pieces in the world. Currently, they are on display in the Palace Museum in Taipei.
