　　Central-western China Colleges and University’s Basic Capacity-building Project is designed to revitalize higher education in this area. It started in 2012, when the National Development and Reform Commission and Ministry of Education strongly supported a batch of characteristic and powerful key universities at the provincial level and province-ministry co-constructed universities, so as to accelerate their development. The main objective is to improve the quality of teaching, teaching conditions, basic capability of universities in undergraduate teaching. And further, aims to emphatically solve the problems of basic capacity facilities and the conditions for running schools in central-western Chinese colleges and universities.
