　　As a type of Chinese green tea, Longjing Tea of the West Lake got its name because it is produced in the Longjing Tea growing area of the West Lake, Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province. Longjing tea, with a profound history, traces its roots back to Tang Dynasty (618-907AD). Since the founding of the People's Republic of China in 1949, it has been listed as the etiquette tea for diplomatic purposes.
