　　Jianghan Plain, located in central China, lies in the mid-south part of Hubei Province. It got its name due to the alluviation of the Yangtze River (also called Changjiang River) and the Han River and is an important part of the Middle-Lower Yangtze Plains. Boasting well-developed agriculture, it serves as a significant base for grain production and other agricultural products (such as cotton) and aquaculture in China. Oil crops represent a significant proportion of agriculture in this area, and are predominated by rape, peanut and sesame crops.
