　　【析句】复合句。整个句子以条件状语从句if an employee can succeed in a difficult assignment overseas开头，主句在后，superiors will have greater confidence in his ability to cope back in the US,其中含有短语have confidence in……,his ability作in的宾语，而to cope……则是his ability的宾语补足语。最后where cross-cultural considerations……are becoming more and more prevalent作the United States的定语从句。

　　主句主语The employee后有两个修饰成分，首先是posted abroad为过去分词作定语，然后是who speaks the country's principal language作定语从句。最后when it is better to move more slowly作know的宾语从句。
