A savage rainstorm has swept southwestern China‘s Chongqing Municipality， forcing local factories to shut down and disrupting traffic.
现在我们看看国家继续遭受的恶劣天气。凶猛的暴风雨横扫了中国西南部的重庆自治市，迫使当地工厂关闭和交通中断。
Raging water roars down to Wanzhou city， creating wild waterfalls along the slope. Some communities have built sand-bag walls to protect their homes.
凶猛的暴雨顺着万州市呼啸而过，沿着山坡形成狂暴的瀑布。一些社区建立起沙袋墙保护他们的家园。
But other areas have not been spared， as water seeped into the first floor.
但是其他地区未能幸免，因为水已经流入了一楼。
The rain arrived suddenly. And it carried a lot of mud from the mountains nearby. I didn’t have much warning. Cars could not pass either.
暴雨突然来临。而且带来附近山上的许多泥土。我没有任何警觉。汽车也不能通过。
The downpour transformed a local machinery factory into a huge pond. Plumes of smoke are the only evidence of the production that once was.
倾盆大雨将当地一个机械厂变成一个巨大的鱼塘。浓烟是工厂曾经存在的唯一证据。
Everything‘s gone. It will take us at least a month to resume production.
一切都不见了。重新生产至少要花费我们一个月的时间。
But some workers say they’re lucky enough to still be alive.
不过一些工人说很庆幸他们还活着。
In the afternoon the running water was making huge noises like thunder. And the moment we stepped out to safety， the factory was submerged under water.
下午，流水发出如雷般巨大的响声。当我们逃出到安全地方那一刻，整个工厂就淹没在水中了。
Thousands of passengers have been stranded at the Wanzhou railway station. After urgent repairs， two railways have resumed operation.
成千上万名旅客被困在万州火车站。紧急抢修后，两条铁路已重新恢复运行。
Road travel is also still dangerous as water continues to flow down from mountains， while minor landslides occur from time to time.
道路行驶也依然很危险，因为水继续从山上向下流，有时还发生小型的山体滑坡。
