问：你为什么会在比赛的最后输掉了呢？

　　莎拉波娃：不知道，我已经尽全力了。你知道，我一直在尽全力打球。当我拥有赛点的时候我没有拿下比赛，这就是比赛。如果你把握不住自己的机会，你就会失去比赛。

　　问：在本次澳网比赛中，你的很多比赛都打满了3盘。这次你在第3盘出现了体能问题，你感到疲劳吗？

　　莎拉波娃：当然，我感到非常疲劳。这是大满贯比赛的半决赛。当你来到球场的时候，你就会忘记你是否疲劳了。在第3盘的时候，你们可以看到我有些疲劳，移动不像第1盘和第2盘那样迅速。但是，那时候我忘记了这些，我只是竭尽全力去比赛。

　　问：小威廉姆斯与你进行了一场精彩的比赛，你怎么形容他？

　　莎拉波娃：我想这是一场伟大的比赛。我竭尽了我所有的能量，小威廉姆斯也拼尽了全力。如果你不能在比赛中拿下属于你的机会，比赛就会溜走。小威廉姆斯抓住了她的机会，因此她取得了比赛的胜利。

　　Q. How did you let that one go?

　　MARIA SHARAPOVA: No, I gave it all I had. You know, I playedfrommy heart. You know, I didnt take my chances when I could.Andthats what this game is about. If you dont take your chances,youlose.

　　Q. You played a lot of three-set matches in the tournament.Youhad energy fluctuations in the third set. What was center inyourtank? Were you tired?

　　MARIA SHARAPOVA: Thats not an excuse for me. Of course,youretired. Youre in a semifinal of a Grand Slam, but when youget onthe court you dont think about if youre tired or not.

　　In the third set you could see I was a little bit -- Iwasntmoving as well as I was in the first and the second. Butthen, youknow, I forgot about it and I just tried to do -- youknow, justtried to play.

　　Q. You think she played one of her better matches against you?Howwould you describe it?

　　MARIA SHARAPOVA: I thought it was a great match. I, you know,likeI said, I gave it all I got and she gave it all she got. Ifyoudont take your chances in this sport, you know... I mean, thematchcould have gone any way, and she took her chances and sheplayedwell when she needed to. And thats the difference.

　　Q. Have you ever seen Serena grunt so loud?

　　MARIA SHARAPOVA: No. I wasnt really paying attention so Idontknow.

　　Q. The players you play on tour, where do you rankSerenascompetitiveness and fighting spirit?

　　MARIA SHARAPOVA: Well, I think shes one of the bestcompetitorsout there. I mean, shes been in those situations whenshe was downin the third set, and out of nowhere she knows how toturn itaround. And, again, that comes from experience, that comesfrom herfighting spirit. But, you know, hopefully Ill learn andIllimprove.

　　Q. Have you talked to your father and what has he said toyou?

　　MARIA SHARAPOVA: Yeah, he says that I gave it all I had, thatIshouldnt be sad about anything because I played with my heart.Andhe told me that its not a sprint, its a marathon. And itis.

　　Q. How do you rate Serenas chances now against LindsayorNathalie?

　　MARIA SHARAPOVA: I dont care. Im out of the tournament, soitdoesnt matter anymore.

　　Q. Bit of consolation the fact that now you are the No. 1Russianand that you are going to pass over Myskina?

　　MARIA SHARAPOVA: I am? I dont know (shrugging).

　　Q. You dont care?

　　MARIA SHARAPOVA: Well, Im not No. 1 yet. Ive said thatsmygoal.

　　Q. Have you got any plan for tonight, I mean, for the rest oftheday?

　　MARIA SHARAPOVA: Yeah. Take care of my body, get a massage andgetready for my next tournament, Tokyo
